Hello! My name’s Wella. I am writing to express my interest in the English Teacher position. With a six- year experience teaching in international schools both locally and abroad under the Cambridge and IB curricula, and currently teaching in a language academy abroad for six years now, I’m confident to say that I can provide a safe learning environment for students to express their opinions without judgments.

Your school’s mission and vision is geared towards the holistic development of the learners and as an educator, who has numerous exposures to varied learners, I am certain that I will work hand in hand with other stakeholders to ensure optimal growth for all learners.

All throughout my teaching career, I have been tasked with responsibilities which include:

• Teaching English, Maths, Science and Social Studies to Primary 3- 4 students
• Planning long term plans and short term plans to deliver quality content to students
• Delivering lessons to students using the planned lessons and preparing differentiated activities catering to the individual needs of the learners
• Creating quizzes and term exams to evaluate students’ understanding
• Supervising morning meeting/dismissal
• Planning collaboratively with subject teachers to ensure learning alignment
• Establishing a safe, purposeful and stimulating environment for students and establish a framework for discipline with a range of strategies, following the school’s behaviour guidelines
